Data Retention
Sensory IntelligenceĀ® Consulting will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Notice. We will retain and use personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
Sensory IntelligenceĀ® Consulting will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Sites and/or Portals, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.
We retain personal information for the duration of your active engagement with our services. Specifically:Ā
- Account Data: Retained for 2 years following your last login or until a deletion request is made.Ā
- Financial Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with South African tax and legal obligations.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of your personal data is important to Us, however, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of the information you transmit to our website. Transmission of your information to our website is entirely at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try and prevent unauthorised access.Ā

- Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for all administrative accounts on all systems.Ā
Sensory Intelligence uses 128bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology when processing your financial details. 128-bit SSL encryption is estimated to take at least one trillion years to break and is the industry standard.
When you have chosen or been given a password which enables you to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping that password confidential. Please do not share your password with anyone.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

Disclosure of Personal Information
Business Transactions

International Data Privacy Rights (UK, EEA, and Switzerland)
We hereby confirm that all services are provided and governed from South Africa and if you are located in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (āGDPRā) you grant us specific rights regarding your personal data.Ā Any information that you provide to us may be transferred to and processed in South Africa or other countries around the world where we do business.Ā Although this may include recipients of information located in countries where there may be a lower level of legal protection for your personal information than in your country, we will protect your information in accordance with requirements applicable to the law in your particular jurisdiction and take steps to only share with third parties that offer similar protection. South African Privacy Rights
If you are a South African resident, South Africa law may provide you with certain rights with regard to your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (āPOPIAā) and Promotion of Access to Information Act (āPAIAā), as well the Consumer Protection Act. If we receive a POPIA request from you, we will first make a determination regarding the applicability of the law, and we will then take steps to verify your identity prior to responding. The steps to verify your identity may vary based on our relationship with you, but, at a minimum, it will take the form of confirming and matching the information submitted in the request with information already held by Sensory IntelligenceĀ® Consulting and/or contacting you through previously used channels to confirm that you submitted the request (i.e. confirming identity through contact information that we have on file, and/or the contact information submitted to make the request).Ā
Sensory IntelligenceĀ® Consulting only processes special personal information (such as health-related sensory thresholds) when you provide explicit, informed consent through our Service for the purpose of delivering personalised sensory profiles. We do not knowingly collect data regarding religious beliefs, race, or criminal behaviour.

Data Breach Notification
In the event that we become aware of, or have reasonable grounds to believe that the personal information of a user has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, we will follow this protocol:
- Notification Timeline: We will notify the relevant supervisory authority (such as the Information Regulator in South Africa or the ICO in the UK) and the affected data subjects as soon as reasonably possible after the discovery of the compromise.
- Method of Notification: Notification will be sent via email to the address on record, or by other means permitted by law, to ensure the user can take protective measures.
- Content of Notice: The notification will provide sufficient information to allow the affected user to take protective measures, including:
- A description of the possible consequences of the security compromise.
- A description of the measures that we intend to take or have taken to address the security compromise.
- A recommendation regarding the measures to be taken by the data subject to mitigate the possible adverse effects of the security compromise.
- The identity of the unauthorised person who may have accessed or acquired the personal information (if known).
- Internal Security: We maintain strict procedures, including 128-bit SSL encryption and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), to mitigate the risk of such breaches occurring.
To exercise your right under the South African PoPIA requirements, to correct or delete your personal information, please contact our Information Officer. We will provide you with the prescribed Form 2 as required by the POPIA Regulations to facilitate your request.
Changes to this Privacy Notice
Sensory IntelligenceĀ® Consulting reserves the right to modify this Privacy Notice from time to time in order that it accurately reflects the regulatory environment and our data collection principles. When material changes are made to this Privacy Notice, we will post the revised Notice on our website. This Privacy Notice was last modified on 15 April 2026.
